Do you require a deposit to reserve your appointment?
No, however we do ask for a card number upfront in the event of a last-minute cancellation or no-show. We ONLY charge your card if we are given less than 24 hours notice for a cancelled appointment or you simply do not show up for your scheduled time.
What is the price range of your bridal gowns?
The prices of our bridal gowns range between $750-$4000. The average price point is $1500.
What size samples are in your store?
Our bridal gown sample sizes range from 2 to 34. Depending on the designer, styles can be ordered from sizes 0 to a 34.
How far in advance should I order?
As bridal gown can take up to 6 months to manufacture, we strongly recommend ordering your dress 9 months to a year out from your wedding date. Some dresses are available on a rush. However, styles, colors, and sizes may be limited and may be subject to a rush fee.
How long are appointments?
Bridal and bridesmaid appointments are an hour and a half.
What if I am late to my bridal/bridesmaid appointment?
If you are going to be more than 30 minutes late to your appointment, it will be necessary to reschedule your appointment for a different day, as we want to ensure that you have adequate time to shop. If you anticipate being late, please let us know as soon as possible.
Do I need a separate appointment to shop bridesmaids, flower girls, and mother-of gowns?
Yes and no! We require a separate appointment for bridesmaids, which is also an hour and a half long. It is best to focus one aspect of the wedding and allow ample time for both bridal and bridesmaids shopping. Flower girl appointments are 45 minutes long. Mother-of gowns are located on the main sales floor and you can browse at your leisure without an appointment.
How many people can I bring with me to my appointment?
Due to the recent outbreak of COVID-19, we are asking that no more than 4 people come to each appointment—this means the bride with only three (3) other guests. We are following state and government guidelines to minimize the risk of community exposure. Also, please let us know if you or someone you know is not feeling well and we will reschedule your appointment. We will be waiving appointment fees for anyone who calls ahead of time. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation!
We have several seating areas in our bridal suite with the largest space comfortably fitting 5-8 people.
Do I need to bring anything specific to my appointment?
No! We suggest a nude or light-colored pair of underwear (yes, underwear is required to try gowns on as it is a health issue). Strapless bras are optional as most gowns have proper structure built in, with pretty exposed backs that you don't want to obstruct with a band across your back. We let you dress yourself in the fitting rooms (unless extra help is requested) so you don't have to worry about baring your body to others. You can bring shoes if you want, but they aren't necessary as we have pedestals in every area to give you the look and height of a shoe.
Can we bring alcohol, food, or drinks?
Unfortunately, we do not allow alcohol on the premises as it is a liability issue. Please save your food and drinks for the celebration following the purchase of your dream dress!
What if someone in my party has mobility restrictions?
Our main bridal suite is located on the second floor of our store. With Claire's being an older building, there is no elevator access. However, we have two suites located on the first floor to accommodate everyone. Please let us know if someone in your party has limited mobility so that we can properly schedule you for the correct space.
How much of a deposit is required to order my wedding gown or bridesmaid dress?
75% of the total cost is necessary to order your bridal gown. For bridesmaid dresses, a deposit of 75% of the total cost is also required.
Can I cancel, return, or exchange my dress or accessories?
All sales are final. There are no refunds, returns, or exchanges for any reason. If you fail to pick up your merchandise two weeks following the event date stated on your contract, your gown will be considered abandoned and your deposit will be forfeited.
Do you offer in house alterations?
Due to space restrictions, we do not have an in house seamstress. We do however have a list of recommended seamstresses that specialize in bridal gowns, throughout the tri-state area. Plan on allowing 2-3 months to get all necessary fittings done, and you'll want to budget about $350-$800 based on the work that needs to be done. The timing and price of alterations varies depending upon the seamstress you choose.
What if my dress arrives before it is time to start alterations?
Due to space restrictions, we require you to pick up your gown within 30 days of its arrival and pay the remaining balance.
